Who is responsible for your data

Nowa Electric Lifestyle AB (organisation number 559480-4741), Rååvägen 51, 252 70 Råå, Sweden, is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy. This policy explains what we collect through the RadConnect app and website, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@nowa.life.

02

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

  • Waitlist: your email address.
  • Account: your email address and the sign-in identifiers needed to authenticate you (we use one-time email codes, so we do not store a password).
  • Battery diagnostics: a battery “fingerprint” (a derived identifier for your pack, not its raw serial number), the battery type, the platform you use (iOS or Android), timestamps, and telemetry such as voltage, current, temperature and cell balance.
  • Subscription and billing data: your purchase and entitlement status. Payment card details are handled by our payments partner Polar as merchant of record and are not collected or stored by Nowa.
  • Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the website and app.
03

How and why we use your data

We use your data for the following purposes, each with a legal basis under the GDPR:

  • To run your account and provide the app’s features — legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To send waitlist and launch emails, and to reserve your discount — legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To send essential service messages (such as security or billing notices) — legal basis: performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in operating the Service.
  • To provide diagnostics-backed support and to improve reliability and features — legal basis: our legitimate interest in supporting and improving the Service, balanced against your rights.
  • To take payment and meet accounting and tax obligations — legal basis: performance of our contract and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

04

Diagnostics uploads

When RadConnect is connected to your battery, it uploads battery diagnostics to our servers in near real time. This lets our support team see the real state of your pack when you open a ticket, and helps us make the product more reliable. Diagnostics are tied to your account so we can show your history and assist you.

05

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for up to 12 months afterwards, so we can help with follow-up support and continuity. We keep billing records for longer where accounting and tax law requires it. If you ask us to, we will delete or anonymise your diagnostics and other personal data sooner, unless we are required to keep it. Leaving the waitlist removes your email from the waitlist list.

06

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (sub-processors) we rely on to run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it and to process it only on our instructions:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage;
  • Polar — payment processing and billing, as merchant of record;
  • Vercel — website and application hosting;
  • Resend — delivery of transactional and waitlist emails.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights. If we engage new sub-processors, we will update this policy.

07

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to make sure your data stays protected.

08

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@nowa.life. We will respond within the time limits set by the GDPR.

09

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please do contact us.

10

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to review our practices as the Service grows.

11

Children

RadConnect is not directed at children. It is intended for people aged 16 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age.

12

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service and the law evolve. If we make a material change, we will notify registered users by email before it takes effect. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@nowa.life or by post at Nowa Electric Lifestyle AB, Rååvägen 51, 252 70 Råå, Sweden.
